He explained the drop in passengers was due to tightening departures and health protocols that had been put in place ahead of the homecoming ban since May 6.

As of April 1, he cited, as many as 261 passengers had been departed using 84 buses. The number was continuously declining, up to April 28, only 60 buses departed with 109 passengers from terminal.

"The decline is about 20 percent," he stated.

As a follow-up to government policy, he furthered, his side did not open bus service. It was compliance with a circular letter number 13/2021 on Eid homecoming ban and efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 during Ramadan.

"We have promoted it and won't open service on May 6-17. We only serve buses for the Greater Jakarta destination," he explained.

All this time, he was continuously tightening homecoming ban policy until the specified time.

"One of them is by implementing health protocols for every bus crews and passengers. They must first go through health check-up and GeNose C19 test. We let them go if they are negative," he explained.

He was also cooperating with related units, preparing several posts inside the terminal.
